Saturday Nov. 6th-Motion Based Handling Foundation Seminar (required for seminars in the future at the upper level) on Motion Based Handling System: open to dogs or puppies sequencing 8-10 jumps or tunnels off lead, at any jump height. There will be NO Contacts or Weaves and little to no training instruction so we can focus on handling. $165 for working spot. $100 non-refundable deposit required to hold spot. Limit 12 working spots; Auditing is unlimited and is $60 per day (quiet dogs welcome).

Sunday/Monday Nov. 7th/8th-Masters/Excellent Handling with Motion Based System: open to dogs with Advanced or Open Standard title only. To be eligible for this seminar you have also attended a Foundation Seminar from an Instructor teaching the AP handling system, or attended or audited the Saturday, Nov. 6th seminar. The instruction will include some hard, European type sequences. $290 for working spot. $140 non-refundable deposit required to hold spot. Limit 12 working spots; Auditing is unlimited and is $60 per day (quiet dogs welcome).

Breakfast included and will open 30 minutes before seminar begins and stay open until 10:00 each morning for grazing.

To reserve a spot you must email me to get on the list. I must then receive your deposit check within a week or your name will be moved to the bottom of the list. Once deposits are received, they are non-refundable under any circumstance. Balance of the seminar fee is due Oct.1st. Balances not paid by Oct. 1st will result in a forfeit spot and loss of deposit. Balance is non-refundable but participants may sell their spots (only to teams that meet seminar requirements.)

Daisy is a student of Linda Mecklenburg’s Awesome Paws Handling System, and trains and handles using the principles of that system. Her current competition dog, “Jester” has garnered these recent accomplishments:

• 2007 AKC 26" NATIONAL CHAMPION
• 2007 AKC USA WORLD TEAM MEMBER
• 2009 USDAA REGIONAL GRAND PRIX WINNER

Saturday: Handling Within A System Seminar: $160
Basic principles and foundations of handling within a system:
Open to dogs that are sequencing Jumpers courses of 8-10 obstacles.
Daisy will be defining how to handle within a system and will cover handling sequencing with no contacts or weaves. Limited to 12 working spots. Auditing is open to anyone regardless of skill level and is $70 per day, unlimited.

Sunday and Monday: Masters Handling Seminar: $290
Open to dogs with a Open or Advanced Standard title. Teams must have attended Daisy's last seminar; or audited the Saturday seminar; or have been to a Awesome Paws Handling System seminar; or have working knowledge and practice of handling within this type of system (motion based handling).
This seminar will cover advanced handling and International type courses and exercises handling within a motion based system. Limited to 12 working spots. Auditing is open to anyone regardless of skill level and is $70 per day, unlimited.

Saturday will start with a morning lecture defining the system and ending with easy sequencing. Sunday will be more difficult and lengthy sequencing and handling within a system.
Limited to 12 working spots. Auditing is $60 per day.

Monday: Masters Handling Seminar: $150
Open to dogs with a Open or Advanced Standard title. Teams must have attended or audited the Saturday seminar or have been to Awesome Paws Handling System seminars or have working knowledge and practice of handling within the system.
Working on advanced handling and working International courses and exercises handling within a system.
Limited to 12 working spots. Auditing is $60.

At each station we will have helpers showing the attendee's how best to introduce the equipment in the most positive manner to their dogs. The equipment is designed to build confidence, balance, propriception, core strength, flexibility and FUN!

We will have ladders, balance balls, core disc's, perch's, baby hoop's, table's, baby see-saws, baby dog walks, baby tunnels, baby chutes, travel planks, just to name a few.

Please join us for an evening of excitement and learning!

No judging, 90 seconds per run, food, toys, training OK

 

 

Walk Thru’s Beginning at 6:30pm and every hour after, unless entries merit earlier walk thru’s; running order based on first come, first serve basis. Walk Thrus’s will be 8 minutes.

 

$7 for 1 run, $13 for 2 runs, $18 for 3 and $22 for 4; $5 for every run over 4 runs per person

Crating space on grass. Parking for 45 in cliché rock parking lot. Over flow parking may be in the horse pasture at your own risk.

January 12th , Friday-One Day Advanced Seminar/Mixer
Distance: Training, Handling and Strategy; Advanced/Masters type Gambles-1/2 day
Weave performance: Cross Behinds, Twizzles, Distance, Ugly Entries-1/2 day
All Dogs MUST have legs in competition that required qualifying Weave AND Contact performances (i.e. no NADAC Tunnelers, Weavers, TNG or USDAA/NADAC/AKC Jumpers ONLY legs)
Working: $140, Audit $50

 

January 13th and 14th, Saturday/Sunday–Masters Two Day Seminar
Handling, training and strategy for winning!
All dogs MUST be competing in trials at Master/Excellent/Elite level. There will be lots of course work and running!
Working: $280, Audit $50 per day

 

January 15th, Monday (MLK Day)- One Day Novice Seminar
Handling, training and strategy for qualifying! All dogs MUST be competent on ALL obstacles and ready for Fun Matches and or their first trials. Puppies OK but must be at least 12 months old.
Working: $140, Audit $50

 

Gerry is a two time AKC National Champion and a current member of the FCI World Team. He owns DePaw Training Center in Austin, Tx. and has had many successful students competing at National levels.

 

The seminar will be held inside in a covered horse arena. The floor is packed dirt. There is no heat but all doors to arena can be closed in case of bad weather. All equipment is USDAA approved and A Frame will be no higher than 5’6”. Jump heights will be 8”, 12”, 16”, 22” and 26”.

 

The seminar site is in Royce City off of I-30. Motels in Royce City, Rockwall and Garland are all within 25 minutes of the seminar site. Ample parking.

 

Gerry will be supplied with a cordless microphone so everyone, including auditors can hear. Beautiful Continental Breakfast is included all 4 days! There are NO REFUNDS of deposits or full payments under any circumstances. You may sell your spot to a qualified team with approval. Working spots are limited to 12 and auditing is unlimited. To hold a spot, full payment is due for 1 Day Seminars and ½ payment is due for 2 Day Seminar. Balance is due December 1st or deposit and spot maybe forfeited.
